-- Gareth Powell, Team Lead and Senior Architect at Ternary Software, published his article "Informed Consent", in the first issue, the
Spring issue of Agile Development Magazine, a new journal put out by the Agile Alliance. Gareth's article
details the decision-making principles of sociocracy to create agility in an organization and to apply concepts from
leading edge best practices in software development to organizational best practices.
The annual Agile conference is presented by The Agile Alliance, a non-profit organization that supports individuals and organizations who
use Agile approaches to develop software. Unlike traditional software development methods which generate time-consuming and lengthy
specifications before development begins, Agile software development relies on continual partnership and communication between the
developer and client. A working prototype is created quickly allowing interactive, hands-on project evolution, drastically reducing the time
and cost of delivering quality software. Driven by the simple priorities articulated in the Manifesto for Agile Software Development, Agile
development approaches deliver value to organizations and end users faster and with higher quality.
